MAP

On these representations, you can find Switzerland and South Korea. As I am from South Korea, I compare both countries cultures to portrait my perspective. Mostly, I used black water colour and pen.

The first image is the connection between cities.

The darkest and biggest area locate big cities such as Basel, Bern, Zurich and so on. I used water colours for making this map because there are a lot of small rivers in Switzerland. Furthermore, in Switzerland there are big cities near the rivers.

Secondly, as you can guess, it is like annual rings of a tree. I chose annual rings because Switzerland reminds me of trees and nature.

Also, this annual ring will remind you the contour map of Switzerland. This map also gives you the information that the southern part of Switzerland has higher mountains than the Northern part.

The third picture shows rainy Switzerland. A lot of rain make Switzerland lush and clean.

I used the water dropping technique to make the map. Dark spots are indicating the big cities.

Fourth, this map shows the cultural aspect of Switzerland. In my experience, Switzerland is very strict and disciplinary. For that reason, I used straight lines all over Switzerland.

In addition, the line's density represents population density.

Fifth, this is North Korea and South Korea. The lines represent disciplinary between the North and the South.

Sixth, I used chopsticks to make the map as Korea uses chopsticks.

Seventh, I painted it with black water colour. The brush effect shows the complication of politics and society. The difficult situation of the North and the South.
